The Walking Dead {Chapter. 34}

"Do you think we should have said good bye properly? You know… Just incase…"

"Ya! Don't say things like that!" Eunhyuk smacked Sungmin's arm pushing him slightly "We are only going to get petrol and by the time we get back the others would have fixed the car and we can finally get to the military base" Sungmin nodded but still had a worried expression "And besides…" Eunhyuk continued "You know martial art and I'm the ace gun slinger" he said whilst pulling out his pistol and aiming forward playfully with a smirk on his face, Sungmin snickered and motioned for the other to put the gun away.

"Araso, Araso" Sungmin said with a little laugh before putting on a sad expression again "You never fail to make some one happy or laugh in even the most deadly situations" Eunhyuk looked at Sungmin and put his arm around him

"That's because I'm awesome!" Eunhyuk announced making the both of them laugh again, they continued down the main, deserted road, everything looked clear so far.



"Do you think they will be ok?" Siwon asked as they watched Eunhyuk and Sungmin disappear out of their sight, Leeteuk looked up at him and smiled

"I'm sure they will be fine" Siwon nodded and started walking towards the car, Leeteuk stayed where he was still looking in the direction the other two had walked, of course he was worried, he was the leader, he will always worry about his brothers, his Dongsaengs, his best friends.

"Leeteuk what do you want us to do?" Donghae asked snapping he leader out of his anxious thoughts, Leeteuk looked at Donghae and then to Yesung who had perched himself on the side of the road about 10 meters away from the car, he was looking down at the golden pendent he had given his Wookie but wasn't crying, anyone would think that Yesung had ran out of tears but his expression wasn't sadness or sorrow, it was pain and guilt, regret and anger.

"Could you go and see to Yesung please" Leeteuk turned towards Donghae and smiled whilst placing both his hands on Donghae's shoulders "He needs comfort and until we can get him to a safe place I don't want him to be alone, he is in so much pain" Leeteuk looked at Yesung again and sighed, Donghae followed his gaze and also looked at Yesung

"I understand" Donghae said and walked over to his hyung silently and took a seat next to him, he didn't really have any words or rather he didn't know what to say.

"You know…" Yesung started "…This pendent is the only one of its kind…" Donghae looked from Yesung down to the golden giraffe in his hand "…I personally designed it so that it could give Wookie courage when he needed it… " Yesung took a shaky breath in and out before continuing "…I'm glad it did its duty until the very end" Donghae could see that Yesung was trying not to cry, he put an arm around his hyungs shoulders and pulled him close giving the other a signal let himself cry and that he did, he pulled himself closer to him wrapping his arms around Donghae as if he was a life jacket and wept in to his chest.

Donghae wasn't the best when it came to sympathizing but he did what he could to try and help his hyung and if that meant crying aloud then so be it.



Leeteuk had rushed over to Siwon who had now lifted up the bonnet and watched at steam smoked up in to the atmosphere "I think the engine has over heated" Siwon analyzed, Leeteuk watched at the steam turned a grey colour, he wasn't sure if that was steam or smoke. They both stood a little closer and looked at the engine, Leeteuk looked at Siwon "I think there maybe a bolt loose, I'll check" Leeteuk said going down on to his knee's and then laying down, he then pushed his body underneath the car and looked up and the wires and pipes. Suddenly some hot liquid dripped on to Leeteuk cheek burning it "Ah!" Leeteuk yelled as he held his burning cheek, Siwon panicked and pulled Leeteuk's legs so he was out from under the car

"What's wrong?" Siwon asked with panic written all over his face, Leeteuk looked up to his and smiled

"It's ok, so hot water just dripped on me" Leeteuk removed his hand from his cheek to reveal a red rash, Siwon sighed and shook his head brushing his hand through his dark and greasy hair "You worry to much" Leeteuk laughed and pushed himself back under the car carefully avoiding the drips of water.



"Wonnie! Do we have any tools?" Leeteuk asked from under the car

"I think we might have a few, I'll have a look" Siwon carefully got in to the car and looked through the supply bags for anything but there was nothing "We don't have any!" Siwon called

"How about in the boot or in the car supply area under the boot?" Leeteuk asked, Siwon walked out of the car and around to the back of the vehicle to the boot, once he lifted it he found a secret compartment under the base of the boot, he found car tools in there and even a spare tire.

He picked up what he needed and brought them to Leeteuk "Here I brought everything I think we need" Leeteuk shuffled forward a little and too a spanner

"It would be much easier if I had one of those skateboard things that mechanics lay on, you know… When they roll under the cars to fix them" Leeteuk said as he adjusted himself back under the car.

"Do you mean 'creepers'" Siwon asked with a slight smirk on his face, Leeteuk twisted around a little so he could just about see Siwon and nodded "Yeh" Siwon laughed a little as Leeteuk when back under and started tightening up the loose bolt then was leaking boiling water, once tightened Leeteuk looked else where for anything that might be wrong but he couldn't see anything but he could here a strange noise coming from the car 'Perhaps that means its working, I can't see anything else wrong with it, but then again I know nothing about mechanics' Leeteuk thought to himself but then suddenly "Leeteuk! Get out! RUN!"



Siwon stood looking in to the bonnet just able to see Leeteuk through a couple of gaps in the pipes, he smiled as he looked at the concentration written all over his lovers face, he watched as Leeteuk tightened up the loose bolt and his muscle contracted and made his arms looked really toned and manly, this sight made Siwon's stomach flutter. As soon as Leeteuk had finished tightening the bolt Siwon watched as he saw a drop sweat running down the leaders face, he had the urge to crawl under there with him and wipe it away, Siwon looked up at the sun blazing down and Sighed 'It's almost the end of the year and it is boiling still' he thought to himself, as soon as he returned his gaze to the car it starting making a strange high pitched sound, the engine looked as if it was vibrating a little but not long after a burst of flames shot up from it almost catching Siwon's face!

The flames burned a bright orange with blue mixed in, Siwon's eyes widened as he crashed to the floor holding the right side of his face with his hand, he tried to reach for Leeteuk but the flames grew larger "Leeteuk! Get out! RUN!" Siwon shouted, the flames spread quickly to the drivers seat and then the passengers seat, Leeteuk shuffle out from under the car as quickly as he could, Once Siwon has confirmed that Leeteuk was out from under the car he also started running away from the angry flames.

Donghae Stood up, his eyes widened as he watched the car catch fire and saw Siwon running from it holding one side of his face with his hand and behind him was Leeteuk trying to stand but also trying to run, fear filled Donghae as he watch, the scene was almost slow motion, he was about to run for and help until…



Siwon was just about to look back to make sure his lover was following but then he was suddenly pushed forward with full force, his body flew and crashed to the ground, the huge, ear piercing sound of the car exploding had almost deafened him, the only think he heard was a scream "NO!!" Yesungs voice yelled, the heat that radiated from the blast felt unbearable but what was more unbearable was the sight.

Once Siwon's sight had returned to normal, he looked behind him with great difficultly, he hissed when feeling in his legs came back, his left leg had been completely broken but he couldn't scream or shout he couldn't make any noise when he saw Leeteuk laying on the ground motionless, his body scorched from the flames and blood running down his face and neck, his body was almost entangled and some parts out of place, his face was lightly burnt but his features were still visible, his back and the back of his head were completely burned, his hair was almost black from the ashes and his right leg twisted to the side.

Their leader was laying on his front, his head facing the others but his legs were facing to the side, his eyes were still open giving Siwon false hope, the latter tried standing but couldn't, the pain from his leg was too much but he had to get over to his lover!

He got on to his knees and shuffled his body over to Leeteuk's, tears on the brink on escaping 'Please be ok!' Siwon thought over and over as he got closer and closer, car part were still landing from where they had been blow in the air, there was glass scattered everywhere and Blood pooling around Leeteuk's frozen body as Siwon approached his lover the sudden realization struck him as he looked in to the soulless eyes of their leader.

"L-Leeteuk…" Siwon shook him out of denial but there was nothing he could do, he had died instantly "LEETEUK!!!" Siwon screamed from the top over his lungs, he pulled his lover in to his arms and yelled continuously, he couldn't believe what had happened he couldn't believe the one person in his life was now gone.



Donghae ran over to Siwon and looked down at Leeteuk's burnt and blood covered body, tears began to ran down his face as he collapsed to the floor next to Siwon and sobbed while placing his hand on Leeteuk's cold cheek, Yesung stood where he was, his eyes wide and mind clouded until some movement in the distance caught his eye, he looked in that direction and saw a group of people heading their way but when he got a better look he noticed that they weren't ordinary people…

"Leeteuk! Leeteuk! Jung-soo! Please! You have to wake up… You can't leave me!" Siwon sobbed, Donghae also sobbed but his pain couldn't compare to the pain Siwon was going through

"S-Siwon… M-Maybe we should… Close his eyes…" Donghae looked down to Leeteuk face, his skin was dirty and slightly burnt but the angelic features still remained amongst the blood, his eyes were still open as a single tear ran down his face, Siwon just nodded through his tears.

Donghae used one hand and slowly shut Leeteuk's eyes, Siwon started praying silently, his voice shaky and low "Now he looks like he is sleeping" Donghae said trying to smile but it didn't work, instead it made him feel worse, he didn't know what to do, Eunhyuk wasn't here to guide him and now neither was Leeteuk.

"D-Donghae…" Yesung shouted a little as he walked closer to the three but not letting his eyes move away from the herd of walkers heading their way

"N-Not now Yesung…" Donghae sniffed, Siwon sat there with Leeteuk in his arms swaying back and forth saying silent prayers

"B-But it's important…" Yesung tried again, this time Donghae looked up

"What is it?"

This time Yesung didn't reply, all he did was point, Donghae followed Yesungs finger to see the herd of maybe 6 or 7 walkers heading for them "Oh no! They must have heard the explosion!" Donghae tried standing up but misplaced his foot causing him to slip and sprain his ankle, he grasped it with both his hands as he hissed at the pain but he knew that they couldn't stay there, he looked at Leeteuk again with his red, puffy eyes and shook his head "Mianhae… but I know that it's what you would want" Donghae mumbled to himself "Siwon we have to go" he placed a hand on Siwon's shivering shoulder, Siwon looked at him and forced a smiled

"Then go"

Donghae's eyes widened further "You have to come with us"

Siwon shook his head "I belong here, next to Jung-soo, our leader, my lover"

"B-But…"

"I know there are walker coming but my broken leg will just slow you down and that would put you all in danger… Hyung, find the other two and go" With those final words Siwon went back to praying and staring at his fallen angel.

Donghae shook his head and brushed his fingers through his hair, he didn't want to leave, he didn't want to take the responsibility of leaving someone behind but he knew that his Dongsaeng was right, he looked at Yesung who was still keeping an eye out for walkers and then back to Siwon, new tears began to fall "Please come with us… We need you!" Donghae shouted, Siwon looked at him once more, tears were also still pouring from his eyes

"No hyung… They need you" Siwon tried his best smile again, his whole body was shaking "You're going to be the youngest now and your hyungs need you, take care of yourself and… never forget us" Siwon put his hand in to his pocket and took out his gun and handed it over to Donghae he then got out the gun Leeteuk had in his back pocket and placed it on the floor "Please… you need to go now"

Donghae shook his head, as tears dropped to the floor "I don't want to leave you…"

"I can't leave Teukie…" Siwon's gaze left Donghae and went back to Leeteuk "Saranghae hyung"



"Donghae-ah we have to go!" Yesung shouted, Donghae looked up and noticed the walkers were getting closer, he stood up with help from Yesung and started to walk away, he took one last look back to his hyungs "Mianhae" Donghae cried as they walked faster,

Siwon looked up at his hyungs and nodded, he knew this was best and this was the only way he could reunite with his angel.
